Original vintage travel advertising poster published by the London and North Eastern Railway - It's Quicker by Rail Sixteen LNER Rambling Guides - featuring a great design by Tom Purvis (1888-1959) depicting a view into a train carriage with two smiling young ladies in summer dresses and hats looking out of the window whilst another lady holds a backpack standing next to another member of their walking group, the title below with the information text - From booksellers and LNER Office 6d each Ask for the one covering the district you require. Printed by Jarrold and Sons Ltd, Norwich and London. Horizontal. Large size. Good condition, restored tears, small restored paper losses, restored folds, backed on linen.

Each screen print measures 26 x 21 inches. Each screen print is hand signed, dated, numbered by Robert Indiana. Roman numeral edition XLII/L (there were also a main edition of 200 and 50 artist's proofs), Artwork is in excellent condition. Certificate of Authenticity included. All reasonable offers will be considered. About the Artist: Robert Indiana (1928–2018) was an American Pop artist whose work drew inspiration from signs, billboards, and commercial logos.
