Original antique fundraising poster commemorating French sailors and promoting donations - Donnes tous a l'oeuvre du souvenir de la France a ses Marins / Everyone give to the fund in remembrance of the French sailors - featuring an illustration by Jacques Roger Simon (1875-1945) depicting a lady wearing a black dress and a floral wreath headdress of red, white and blue flowers including poppies and holding a French flag draped over her shoulder and a parcel on her lap, sitting on the side of a boat looking out at the warships and sailing boats in the harbour as a rowing boat passes by on the reflective calm water, the bold text down the image and information below - On souscrit au Siege de l'Oeuvre 15 bis boulevard Jules Sandeau Paris (16e) / Subscribe to the Work Headquarters. Each screen print measures 26 x 21 inches. Each screen print is hand signed, dated, numbered by Robert Indiana.
