Original vintage drink advertising poster - Guinness is Good for You - featuring a fun and colourful cartoon style image of the iconic smiling Guinness face reflected from the top of a pint glass with a smiling moon in a starry night sky above, the slogan in red below and a poem based on the popular children's lullaby Twinkle Twinkle Little Star (1806) by Jane Taylor in the centre - Chuckle, Chuckle, through the night, You are such a cheerful sight Up above the world so high, Like a Guinness in the sky - entitled Full Moon. One of the world's most popular beer drink brands, Guinness is an Irish dry stout founded by Arthur Guinness in Dublin in 1759. The successful advertising campaign slogan "Guinness is good for you" became well known worldwide from the 1930s. Printed in Great Britain by S.C Allen and Company Ltd, London. Horizontal. Excellent condition, backed on linen.
