About the Item
Original vintage movie poster for the German release of the cult American thriller film Bullitt based on the 1963 novel Mute Witness by Robert L. Fish, directed by Peter Yates and starring Steve McQueen, Robert Vaughn, Jacqueline Bisset, Don Gordon and Robert Duvall, with the jazz inspired music score by Lalo Schifrin. Great design featuring the iconic photograph of Steve McQueen dressed in black and wearing a gun holster with images between the black lines on the side depicting a car chase scene from the film above and a couple below with the stylised title above Steve McQueen in black and red letters. Bullitt won (and was nominated for) an Academy Awards Oscar and BAFTA Awards in addition to other awards and, in 2007, the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant". Printed in Germany by Fotopress Grafische Betriebe, Heidelberg. Very good condition, folded as issued.
