Original Vintage Poster Car Festival At Puri India Music Procession Hindu Temple

About the Item

Original vintage travel poster advertising the Car Festival at Puri India featuring a colourful design showing crowds of people playing music on drums and walking in procession with decorated chariots of the deities in the background with the Gundicha Temple in Puri Odisha on the horizon below the dark blue sky with the text in white above and in red below. The annual Hindu Car Festival - Ratha Yatra - is held to commemorate the annual visit made by Lord Jagannath to the Gundicha Temple and Mausi Maa Temple, celebrated by deities pulled through the streets on large decorated chariots. Produced by the Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity for the Department of Tourism, Govt of India, New Delhi. Good condition, repaired tears, creasing, staining.
