Original vintage poster - In Coke We Trust - by the German author and painter Lothar Gunther Buchheim (1918-2007) featuring illustrations with captions, the central one showing a lady holding flowers from a shell with a boat on the water and a palm trees in front of hills in the distance, and the others showing a man with a feather headdress, soldiers shaking hands in front of camp tents, an American flag and a cannon gun surrounded by a green wreath, with two decorative logos below - a military 1881 Civil War medal depicting crossed swords and the letters VS with an eagle at the top and the Latin text on scrolls reading: Children of Veterans Saved by the Grace of God / Filii Veteranorum Gratia Servatus Dei, and the other of the Great Seal of South Carolina with an angel figure above the Latin text around two oval images depicting the 1776 Battle of Sullivan's Island and the Spes the Roman Goddess of Hope reading: Animis Opibusque Parati Dum Spiro Spero / Prepared in Mind and Resources While I Breathe I Hope - set against a pale pink background. Very good condition, minor creasing, minor discolouration on the bottom edge.
