Original vintage propaganda poster issued by the Freie Deutschen Jugend FDJ Free German Youth featuring a quote from Faust by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832) in bold letters - Erkennen was die welt im innersten zusammenhält / Recognise what holds the world together at its core - above a colourful illustration of a scientist looking through a microscope with a crystal vial test tube and tongs on his desk and an atom symbol on the dark background, an FDJ award pin Fur Gutes Wissen / For Good Knowledge on an open book with a blue flag and the FDJ rising sun emblem above oak tree leaves. Founded in 1946 the Free German Youth movement for young people aged 14-25 was responsible for Socialist education and preparing young East Germans for life following an officially approved route of school and vocational training with membership entry into the party and offices. Excellent condition.
