Original vintage Soviet travel advertising poster in French - Rostov joyau de l'ancienne architecture russe / Rostov the jewel of ancient Russian architecture - issued by the state tourism agency Intourist to promote the old town of Rostov (founded 862). Great artwork as a stylised depiction of the historic Orthodox cathedral churches with onion domes and tower bells within the walls of the Rostov Kremlin against a blue background, an image of a deer from the coat of arms in front of a tree by the title text below. Published in the USSR by Vneshtorgizdat. Fair condition, restored tears, restored paper losses, restored creasing, backed on linen.
