About the Item

Original vintage travel poster issued by Air-India International for Australia featuring stunning colourful illustrations of a plane flying over people working in a coal mine with a coal train loaded on a railway track above the bold title Australia on a yellow background, a kookaburra bird and historical and tribal artefacts, a kangaroo and a swordfish, grapes hanging over a glass of red wine, sheep, bull, cocoa pods on a tree and a cricket match with a kangaroo and an emu at the sides of the Australian coat of arms below the Air India text in white letters. Good condition, minor staining, light browning in the margin, repaired tears, small paper loss in the top left corner, backed on linen.
