Original vintage travel poster for Chessington Zoo Circus by Southern Railway - 50 acres of beautiful grounds Fully licensed restaurant Popular prices Historical mansion Ideal for party outings Nearest station Surbiton. Colourful artwork by David William Burley (1901-1991) in shades of yellow, black and white depicting a seal named Dicky with the title above and down the side in stylised lettering and the rest of the information below. Chessington Zoo is located in the southwest Surrey area of Greater London; it started as a zoo to house the private collection of animals owned by Reginald Stuart Goddard on the Burnt Stub Mansion estate, opening to the public in 1931; it introduced rides and became the Chessington World of Adventures theme park in 1987 under the management of The Tussauds Group, taken over by Merlin Entertainments in 2007. Good condition, folds, creasing, tears.

Each screen print measures 26 x 21 inches. Each screen print is hand signed, dated, numbered by Robert Indiana. Roman numeral edition XLII/L (there were also a main edition of 200 and 50 artist's proofs), Artwork is in excellent condition. Certificate of Authenticity included. All reasonable offers will be considered. About the Artist: Robert Indiana (1928–2018) was an American Pop artist whose work drew inspiration from signs, billboards, and commercial logos.
