Original vintage camper van dealer showroom advertising poster for Volkswagen Getaway Car featuring a great image depicting a smart new red VW Campmobile Station Wagon showing all the facilities inside from the van's open side doors including a two-burner stove for cooking, running water, dinette table and an upstairs room in red and white stripes on the roof with a description of the vehicle below detailing the additional options of a Super De Luxe Kit with beds for four big people and two little people as well as an icebox, sink, shower and john or a Basic Kit for those who prefer light housekeeping with things that can be picked up as you go along, and the benefit of being able to remove the main components when you get home after a road trip to return your Volkswagen back to its original Station Wagon, Combi or Panel Truck model with the "Suggestion: Take your next vacation in a Volkswagen Campmobile. It's a very moving experience." next to the VW logo at the end. The German automobile maker, Volkswagen ("people's car") was founded in 1937; the company's Type 2 Transporter / Kombi / Bus / Camper models (since 1949) became popular during the 1960s hippie era. Good condition, restored paper loss, restored tears, small stain, backed on linen.
