Original vintage World War Two poster - Your Hurricanes In Action Thank You Fiji! - featuring four colourful captioned illustrations depicting Hurricane fighter jets marked with Royal Air Force RAF roundels gifted by Fiji on the ground; showing the planes defending a British industrial town by shooting down an enemy bomber plane; and flying over Nazi Germany to attack the enemy-occupied territory with machine gun fire, in particular shipping, communications and factory targets; and protecting allied merchant ships at sea to ensure vital cargo reaches British ports - thanks to the war gifts from Fiji. The logo and more information on their other donations are given below that include Typhoon and Whirlwind aircraft and motor ambulances, Red Cross and St John Fund, Aid to Russia, St Dunstan's, Dr Bernando's Homes for Children, Malta Air Raid Relief Fund and other contributions. (Note: the 1935-1945 flag of Germany featuring the swastika has been covered in the image but appears as originally printed on the poster itself.) Good condition, light fold, tears on edges, minor creasing.
