About the Item
Lithograph in colors on paper. Selected from the personal collection inherited by Marina Picasso, Pablo Picasso's granddaughter. After Pablo Picasso's death, his granddaughter Marina authorized the printing of these original lithographs which have come to be known as the Picasso Estate Collection The lithographs were meticulously created after the original works oil paintings watercolors pastels and charcoal drawings by Master Chromist Marcel Salinas who worked closely with Picasso in his lifetime They are printed in an edition of 1000 on first quality paper. Estate approved Picasso signature printed below image. It also has in typeset under image Collection Marina Picasso and the copyright info in typeset on the right of image.
Artwork is in excellent condition. All reasonable offers will be considered.
About the Artist: Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881–1973) was one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. Picasso melded forms he saw in African sculpture with the multiple perspectives he gleaned from Paul Cezanne, to produce Cubism. Not limited to painting, the artist also expressed himself through collage, sculpture, and ceramics. The artist was prolific up until his death on April 8, 1973 in Mougins, France. Today, his works are held in the collections of The Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Tate Gallery in London, the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, as well as institutions devoted solely to his life work, such as the Museo Picasso Málaga, the Museu Picasso in Barcelona, and the Musée National Picasso in Paris.

Pablo Picasso (1881 – 1973) was a Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, stage designer, poet and playwright who is regarded as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. He is known for co-founding the Cubist movement, the invention of constructed sculpture, the co-invention of collage, and for the wide variety of styles that he helped develop and explore. Exceptionally prolific throughout the course of his long life, Picasso achieved universal renown and immense fortune for his revolutionary artistic accomplishments, and became one of the best-known figures in 20th-century art. The total number of artworks he produced has been estimated at around 50,000.
