FEMME ASSISE PRES D'UNE FENÊTRE(Marie-Thérèse Walter) is a limited edition lithograph re-created after an original painting from the estate Collection of Marina Picasso, Picasso's grand-daughter. Printed using hand drawn lithographic plates on archival heavy weight Coventry printmaking paper, 100% acid free. Edition was produced in accordance with the Picasso family under the supervision of Marcel Salinas, master chromist who worked closely with Pablo Picasso during his lifetime.
Bears the estate approved printed signature of Picasso on lower margin. Typeset under image reads Collection Marina Picasso. Lithograph is in excellent condition, never been framed or mounted. Picasso's - FEMME ASSISE PRES D'UNE FENÊTRE(Marie-Thérèse Walter) is an abstract portrait portraying a woman(representing Marie-Thérèse Walter ) seated near a window, set against a pastel periwinkle blue and light gray background. Her abstracted facial profile features a prominent nose; her body and clothing are comprised of simple fluid shapes printed in shades of turquoise, red, and light purple with black outline details. FEMME ASSISE PRES D'UNE FENÊTRE(Marie-Thérèse Walter) presents Picasso's version of an engaging, abstract interpretation of feminine beauty. Marie-Thérèse Walter was a French model and lover of Pablo Picasso from 1927 to about 1935 and the mother of their daughter Maya Widmaier-Picasso.
