About the Item

Informed by a minimalist aesthetic, this elegant outdoor sculpture by Claude Millette speaks to the viewer's perception of balance and imbalance. Born in Saint-Hyacinthe, Millette studied at the École de sculpture de Saint-Jean-Port-Joli and apprenticed with sculptors Robert Poulin and Jordi Bonet. Millette's works have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions and are in the collections of the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, the Musée d’art de Joliette, and the Musée du Bas-Saint-Laurent, the Musée National des Beaux-Arts du Québec and the Ville de Matour, Bourgogne, France. Base of the sculpture is attached with cross bar or can be bolted to concrete. Cross bar base measures 84 x 84 inches. Additional images of base are available upon request.
