2023

About the Item

Arch is a plaster sculpture by contemporary artist Delphine Brabant, dimensions are 35 × 32 × 29 cm (13.8 × 12.6 × 11.4 in). The sculpture is signed and numbered, it is part of a limited edition of 8 editions + 4 artist’s proofs, and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Delphine Brabant is guided by the concept of construction; she creates her sculptures in an architectural way by assembling and imbricating numerous forms with simple lines. In her abstract sculptures, Delphine Brabant, who is fascinated by the idea of construction, assembles and fits together a variety of straightforward forms like an architect. The artist finds inspiration in the verticality, horizontality, and interaction between solid and space. She favours simple geometric shapes and bases her art on the idea of balance.
