Dionisios Fragias is a New York -based artist born on the Greek island of Kefalonia and raised in New York City. He is the protege of the artist Jeff Koons whose years-long mentorship, working very closely together, has instilled in the artist a sensitive approach to his art practice. Through his own works, Fragias examines human nature’s tendencies towards creation and destruction. His free-standing sculptures, “hybrid” paintings/wall-sculptures and other diverse-media works connect our past to the present.
