Frank Arnold is thought by many to be one of the foremost abstract figurative painters and sculptors of our time. He is a living master whose work is considered to be both personal and universal. He divides his time between working studios in California, San Jose del Cabo and Mexico City. Arnold has exhibited his unique and expressive abstract-figurative style in multiple galleries and museums and is in numerous collections, worldwide.
UNDERSTANDER: The haunting masculine bronze figure, in a hooded shroud stands 34 inches tall, and though faceless, seems to follow the viewer with a knowing stare from a dark hollow opening where one expects the face to be.. The artist’s signature “8” is set at the foot of the figure. Edition of 12. Thematic inspiration for many of Frank Arnold’s cast pieces is discovered through his work as an abstract figurative painter. The textures and finishes present a painterly effect, intentionally created by Arnold to compliment his oil on canvas paintings.
