Richard Perry
Little Halley 8 by Richard Perry - Geometric abstract sculpture, black colour

2019

About the Item

Little Halley 8 is a bronze sculpture by contemporary artist Richard Perry, dimensions are 17.5 × 18 × 15.5 cm (6.9 × 7.1 × 6.1 in). The sculpture is signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity. There are 6 editions of this sculpture. This sculpture is a good example of the geometric language the sculptor created in the 2010s and uses in his current work. Although the artist works with a variety of materials, including bronze and ceramics, his preferred material is stone, specifically granite, marble, limestone, red sandstone, and alabaster from quarries in England, Ireland, and Italy. Shape and material, and how they both interact with space and light, are at the centre of Richard Perry's artistic approach. His abstractly shaped sculptures have an elegant and solid balance created by the interaction of planes, lines, surfaces, and voids.
