About the Item
"Pulsar" - Kinetic sculpture by Robert Perless
Welded aluminum, holographic material, aluminum base
Working model for large-scale work that generates electricity. ”Pulsar” is finished with a custom holographic material which gives it the ability to reflect and project rainbows as it rotates
A union of art, science, and engineering, Robert Perless’ kinetic sculptures reveal and transform energy from the natural world. Perless acknowledges the influence of Constructivism on his work and is also often associated with the Kinetic art movement. He is best known for strikingly grand and graceful large-scale sculptures made from industrial materials.
