Shin-Young Park is a Korean-born New Zealander who moved to Auckland with her family at 16, and to Singapore in 2006. She completed both her BFA in 1998 and MFA in 2003 at the Elam School of Fine Arts at the University of Auckland (New Zealand). Park is the recipient of the 2005 Iris Fisher Art Award (Best Contemporary Work) in Auckland and 2016 BAZAAR Art Prize (2D Work on Canvas) in Singapore, and was a finalist for the 2004 Trust Waikato National Contemporary Art Award,
2015 New Zealand Painting and Printmaking Award and 2015 Pacific Rim International Print Exhibition. Park has participated in international residency programmes such as the 2014 Incheon Art Platform International Residency Program and 2012 Asia Pacific Artists Fellowship Residency Program organized by the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Korea. Her works have been featured in solo and group exhibitions in Singapore, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan and France, and have been commissioned by Mandarin Oriental Hotel (2008) and Fullerton Bay Hotel (2010).
With works spanning different themes and subjects, she is driven by an interest in global social issues, especially when it comes to matters affecting the lives of the underprivileged in society.

Shin-Young Park is a Korean-born New Zealander. She completed BFA and MFA at the University of Auckland. Park moved to Singapore in 2006 and showcases her works through art galleries, participating in overseas exchange shows, art fairs, workshops, international residency programs and charity auctions. Park has won the “Iris Fisher Art Award” in 2005 in Auckland, nominated as a “Most Outstanding Emerging Artist” in Art Singapore 2009 and won the “BAZAAR Singapore Art Prize 2016”. Her works were commissioned by Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Fullerton Bay Hotel in 2010. She represented Singapore at “The World Triennial of Printmaking” in Chamalieres, France in 2017. She touched on various subject matters but her main passion has been about the life of under-privileged people in our society.

B&W photo is of Ms. Freire with renowned sculptor Etienne Martin at the Ecole Nationals des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Elizabeth Freire is a Brazilian-born, contemporary American artist. At the age of eighteen, she left Rio de Janeiro and moved to Paris to study sculpture at l’Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts, receiving her Diploma there in 1979 under the direction of Claude Viseux, Etienne Martin, and Cesar. During that time she worked as an apprentice at the Fonderie de France where she learned bronze technique and she also attended etching courses at l’Ecole de Montparnasse. In 1976, she won a commission to make three life-size figures representing the printing company, “Les Imprimeries de Boulogne,” at the International Printing Fair in Paris. She spent 1977 in Aix-en-Provence where she carved the local stone of Rogne. Returning to Paris, the painter Lutka Pink introduced her to Otero, Frans Krajcberg and Hajdu from whom she received valuable lessons.
