About the Item

Contemporary bronze sculpture on marble base by Polish artist Stan Wysocki. Artwork comes from limited edition of 50. Sculpture depicts female figure filtered through geometric, synthesizing style. Artist uses patina very consciously as an artistic tool - color and texture is different in some parts of the artwork. Sculpture is signed in the mold and numbered Due to being from natural material, granite base may have some imperfections. Dimensions include base STANISŁAW WYSOCKI (b. 1949) Wysocki studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań (1978-1980) and then at the Hochschule der Kunste in Berlin under prof. J.H. Lonas. He received his diploma in 1986. During his studies he worked in the sculpture ateliers of Herman NOACK Bildgieserei and Pery Green. The artist took part in numerous solo and collective exhibitions in Poland and abroad. His works were presented in Germany, Italy, Denmark, Sweden, Great Britain and Turkey. In 2001 he received the Cultural Award of Silesia. PROVENANCE Exhibited at Katarzyna Napiorkowska Gallery. The Gallery is a primary representative for this artist. The Gallery of Katarzyna Napiorkowska is one of the first private art galleries in Poland. For over 30 years, the gallery has been presenting contemporary paintings, graphics, drawings, and sculptures. Our galleries are located in Warsaw and Brussels. The portfolio of the Gallery includes selected objects of renowned Polish artists. In 2015, our Gallery was awarded the prestigious title of the Ambassador of the Polish Economy in the European Brand category awarded by the Business Center Club. CONDITION Very good condition.
