Jensen’s primitive wooden carvings draw on his Scandinavian heritage as well as his contemporary experience with the landscape in the form of the seas, waterways, forests, and mountains. Using naturally felled wood and chisels passed down from his ancestors, Jensen expresses the universal nature of carvings that serve as a vehicle for imagery inspired by voyages.
