Ai Weiwei
Ai Weiwei, Pequi Tree - Limited Edition Sculpture, Chinese Contemporary Art

2021

About the Item

The Pequi Tree Miniature is based on Ai Weiwei's 32 meter sculpture, Pequi Tree from 2018-2020, and was produced at a 1/100 scale. As the large cast iron sculpture, the miniature witnesses the disappearance of the harmonious coexistence between nature and human beings, passing from wood to metal and from mortal to eternal, as an element of proof and as a monument.
