Beautiful Elephant Framed Fabric Sculpture Perfect for Walls

About the Item

Unique elephant silhouette made with 22,540 black pins. One by one, the pins were carefully placed and were recycled from an antique textile factory. This circular frame was handmade with solid wood, the artist carved the wood till she got the desired form. It is made with two wooden hoops with a square shaped fabric piece in the middle. The metal fixings on top are decorative and functional, they were also made specifically for this work of art. It is a lightweight easy to install piece. Mexican Contemporary Art

    Carole A. Feuerman (born 1945) is an American sculptor and author working in Hyperrealism. She is one of the three major artists credited with starting the movement in the late 1970s. She is the only woman to sculpt in this style. Her career is highlighted by iconic figurative works of swimmers and dancers. She has been included in exhibitions at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Portrait Gallery; the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia; the Venice Biennale; and Palazzo Strozzi Palace in Florence, Italy, among others.
