White tailed sea eagle and crab

2019

About the Item

This white tailed sea eagle is depicted here on a rock on the shore of a remote wild Scottish Isle (Outer Hebrides). Hiding beneath the rock is a brown crab native to this remote part of the world. My intention was to depict raw hunger in the animal world as it is. The eagle desperate to eat and the crab desperate not to be caught. Hand carved in limewood it is the master model that is shown here, however it is a bronze casting on a bronze base that is for sale here and patinated to the desired colour of the buyer whether it be traditional bronze brown or a mixture of colours depicting it as it naturally is. To be ordered with 12 to 14 weeks from confirmation of order to carrier collection from my studio.
