Family on the Beach bronze sculpture by Caroline Russell

2009

About the Item

This sculpture is inspired by Caroline's own family and reflects the sizes relative to one another. She wanted to record the moment when her children were so much smaller than her and her husband, knowing that that moment in time would not last. This is the last in the seri Caroline Russell is a London-based sculptor, working mainly in clay, plaster and jesmonite, creating sculptures which are cast in strictly limited editions in foundry bronze, bronze resin and marble jesmonite. She is a Member of the Royal Society of Sculptors, and has been a professional sculptor since 1993. Caroline graduated from Leeds University and studied sculpture privately under Patricia Finch, FRSS. Caroline’s sculptures have been shown in galleries and exhibitions throughout Britain and sold to buyers from as far afield as Hong Kong, New York, Switzerland and Brazil.
