The bronze sculpture of a woman by Charles Rumsey is undated, but was created at a point in his career where he began to transition from realism to more modern, looser depictions of women and even his animal sculptures. This was a study for a large version he did of this image.
The work of Charles Rumsey remains in many of the most famous museums worldwide including the Museum of Modern Art, The Metropolitan Museum of Art in NY as well as dozens of others worldwide. His work is also found in public spaces such as the large frieze above the Manhattan Bridge NYC and The Smithtown Bull in Smithtown NY.
