Craig Dan Goseyun
One becomes immediately aware of the extraordinary power that Craig Dan Goseyun expresses through his sculpture. Celebrating his San Carlos Apache ancestry as a professional sculptor since 1985, Goseyun evokes the spirituality of his heritage with a uniquely grounded and impressive degree of style. Being raised in traditional Apache culture and historical legacy provides a passion for his extensive understanding of other Native American cultures as well. This passion led him into one of the most demanding forms of expression - sculpture. After his academic study, which included the Institute of American Indian Arts, Craig spent several years under the masterful tutelage of Allan Houser, before striking out with his unique and highly developed skills. His path as a sculptor has brought him the same challenges that many of the great masters have faced before him. His power lies in his unique ability to bring life, real flesh and blood to the stone and bronze he works with, enhancing the environment of the heart. His unique gift transcends cultural boundaries and provides special insight into the landscape of the natural.

- Exploration-II, Figurative Bronze & Wood by Contemporary Indian Artist-In StockLocated in Kolkata, West BengalSubrata Paul - Exploration-II Bronze & Wood, H 29 x W 28 x D 16 inches About : Subrata Paul ( b 1972) is one of the empanelled sculptors of Abundant Art Gallery. Subrata Paul’s favoured materials are bronze embellished with wood. His signature fusion of the two different materials with his stitching style lends an unique texture to his sculptures. Our collection, includes some of his remarkable creations including “Fish”, “Goat” and “Bull”.Paul’s ‘Fish’ represents contrasting characteristics. The Buddha like drooping eyes of the ‘Fish’ is contrasted paradoxically against the frenzied fins, reminding us of Medusa’s dishevelled hair. Calmness and restlessness in one form, the ‘Fish’ resembles the life force. It is a metaphor for the inner human strength to swim against the tide of adversities. His ‘The King’ represents an imperial image. The statute is looking towards heaven, as if seeking some inspiration to perform his royal duties. His crown is like a crown of thorns. It is not a pleasant task but it has to be performed. His attire declares he has to modify his own life into the straightjacket of his royal duties. Another creation of his, ‘Bull’ recalls the interpretation of a bison of the Altamira cave paintings. Paul’s ‘Meditation’ series defines peace in different perspectives through various aspects of Buddha figures. Inspired by sculptors such as Sunil Kumar Das...Category
