About the Item
This ceramic wall-mounted sculpture features an athletic theme. The blue figure seems to be in a discus position and the horizontal figure is in motion. The geometric motifs give this piece a time-lapse effect. Brightly colored shapes stand out against the earthen background and fortify this sculpture's circular composition. This piece is sold signed by the artist in the back and is ready to hang.
Dan Mehlman is a sculptor who works with ceramics, model making, and print making. He obtained a BFA from RISD and an MFA from CSUF. He maintains an active studio in Delmar, NY, and has collaborated with brands such as Dansk, Steuben, Baccarat, and Waterworks.
