About the Item

Glazed Ceramic Irakli Nasidze is a Franco-Georgian artist born in 1973 who lives and works between Paris, France & Tbilisi, Georgia. At the Tbilisi School of Fine Arts, he received comprehensive training in fashion and art. Then He moved to Paris where, from the 2000s, he presented several fashion shows as part of Parisian haute couture week, then showed his collections in Paris, Tbilisi, Saint Petersburg, Vilnius, Beijing, and Shanghai among others. Today he lives between France, Georgia and China. His work is multifaceted, creator of haute couture, ready-to-wear and jewelry, he is also a painter, an illustrator and furniture designer. In 2023, he exhibited at MOMA in Tbilisi with the artist Qiao Qi. In 2024, her jewelry is presented by Collectors Gallery at the BRAFA Art Fair in Brussels. Irakli's style, in his design, as in his textile creations and his paintings, is distinguished by sober lines enriched with figurative elements as faces, fauna and flora. Color plays a subtle role and acts through touches of light or bright tones on darker backgrounds with mixture of pigments or pieces applied to ceramics, precious or semi-precious stones to jewelry. Irakli seeks a constant balance between simplicity and exuberance, between function and beauty. His writing is very personal and mixes all the cultures he immerses himself in.
