Jeremy Guy
Reclining Figure Alabaster - smooth, stone, figurative, tabletop sculpture

2015

About the Item

From a single piece of silver cloud alabaster, the artist has carved a poetic and modern depiction of a reclining figure. The composition of negative and positive spaces changes as the viewer and the light move around the work. Jeremy Guy was born in 1966 in a small town in West Yorkshire, England. Natural inspiration has come from the work of British modern sculptors Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth. He has lived in Canada since 2007. Educated in Fine Art and holding an honours degree in Product Design, Jeremy has been a full-time sculptor for approximately 20 years. His works can be found in public spaces and private collections in many countries across three continents.
