Edgy life size wall sculpture of a nude female torso and head. This sculpture is part of his "trapped" series. This is edition 2 of 3, available by commission. Nicholas Crombach (b.1989, Kingston, ON) graduated from OCAD University’s Sculpture and Installation program in 2012 winning the Faculty Award, the Samuel Lazar Kagan Award and the Hayden Davies Memorial Award. Working in a variety of cast media including bronze and resin, Crombach often explores the complex relationship of animals and humans. His thought provoking work is imbued with wry humour. Crombach was recipient of the Abraham and Malka Green award, a BMO 1st Art Nomination as well as grants from Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation and the Ontario Arts Council. In 2016-17 he was the artist in residence at The Florence Trust in London, UK. He has completed public art commissions notably Billy, Nanny and the Kids for Appleby Village Mall in Burlington, Ontario and has exhibited widely in Canada, Spain, and England. His work is held in private, corporate and public collections including the Museu Europeu d'Art Modern in Barcelona and First Capital Realty in Toronto.
