About the Item

In this sculpture, Guzmán creates an image that is beautiful to behold, the legs of a woman resting on a human skull as a metaphor for life and death, femininity and masculinity. This artwork is part of the exhibition “Kind of Blue, Kind of Black”, which investigates the relationship between these two colors as a part of our visual and emotional language. Guzmán achieves a phenomenal combination that lives between the figurative, surrealist, and abstract by juxtaposing both elements, which are fundamental in the artistic palette. The sculpture is made of pure bronze, weighing around 80 kilos or 175 lbs.
