About the Item
White statuary marble sculpture depicting a young woman who is shown in a pose derived from ancient classicism, of touching her hair and holding a flower she has in her hair.
The body is completely naked and rests with its right leg near two tree trunks.
It is presented in a late nineteenth-century interpretive reading linked to a reinterpretation close to the new aesthetic demands that characterized late twentieth-century Romanticism.
Provenance: 19th-century Rome.
