Maidy Morhous
Conceptual Bronze Sculpture, "Don't Cry!"

About the Item

This is a limited edition conceptual bronze sculpture made by San Diego artist, Maidy Morhous. Its dimensions are 12" x 8" x 14". A certificate of authenticity will follow its delivery. Maidy Morhous’ sculptures “cannot be taken in with one glance. They expose the viewer and pull him in to react and question what he is viewing: be it to question life and one’s existence, the world’s plight or just to bring a smile.” Morhous has also spent years examining social critique, political and cultural issues. Her new artistic direction is devoid of the human form, which dominated most of her prior sculpture design, adding a new social and political commentary to her works. “I begin with an idea, an emotion, an abstract concept. As the piece develops, my original concept evolves, solidifies, or in some cases, changes completely.” – Morhous
