An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Georgian English sterling silver locking tea caddy; an addition to our silver teaware collection. This exceptional antique George III sterling silver locking tea caddy has a navette, paneled shaped form. The body of this silver tea caddy box is embellished with bands of bright cut engraved volute spiraling leaf ornamentation on a matte background to the upper and lower portions; these bands flank a plain undulating bordered panel. The ornamentation to the surface of the caddy alternates with panels of concave vertical fluted decoration. This antique Georgian tea caddy is retains the original hallmarked flush hinged covers; the flush hinge indicates the fine quality of this piece. The cover is embellished with further bright cut engraved undulating borders accented with bud motifs, in addition to simplified borders paralleling the domed paneled portion; the domed portions reflects the incurved shape of the body. This impressive cover is surmounted with a cast sterling silver urn style finial, in the Classic Adams style. The caddy retains the original fitted fully working lock and functional key. This exceptional antique George V sterling silver tea service has been modelled in the Queen Anne style. The lower portion of each piece is embellished with embossed batwing decoration. The upper portion of each piece of this silver tea set is plain and unembellished. The teapot is fitted with a hinged hallmarked cover embellished with further batwing decoration to the domed portion and is surmounted with the original carved painted wood and sterling silver fluted, cushion shaped finial. The teapot retains the original angular carved painted wood handle with a plain scrolling thumbpiece. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George III English sterling silver bachelor teapot; an addition to our Georgian silver teaware collection This exceptional antique Edwardian sterling silver teapot has an inverted pear shaped form onto a circular spreading foot. The surface of the bachelor teapot is plain and unembellished. The upper rim of the body is ornamented with a band of cast and applied gadroon decoration all in a swirl design. This antique silver teapot is fitted with a hallmarked, domed flush hinged cover surmounted with an impressive and original, cast sterling silver flame style finial; the flush hinge indicates the high quality of the piece. This exceptional example of antique teaware retains the original C scroll carved painted wood handle featuring a plain scrolling thumbpiece and a cast silver leaf decorated design to the upper socket, This impressive example of antique silverware has a cast silver swan necked spout embellished with fluted decoration and applied leaf motif to the lip. The ornamentation to the underside of the spout incorporates a vacant oval cartouche below a shell motif. The cast circular spreading foot is encircled with further gadroon decoration to the rim.
