This exceptional antique George V sterling silver bottle coaster has a plain cylindrical form to a domed spreading base.
The body of the coaster is embellished with two broad shaped bands of pierced decoration, in addition to an applied moulded border to the undulating upper rim.
This solid silver bottle coaster is fitted with two handles ornamented with bead ornamentation incorporating a floral motif to the center of each hand piece.
Note: The majority of such bottle coasters have a wooden base; it is a sign of quality when coasters have unlined, solid silver bases.
