Christian Wilhelm Dietrich Furniture

German, 1712-1774

Christian Wilhelm Dietrich was born in 1712 in Weimar, Germany. He was a painter and etcher. Dietrich was a court painter of Augustus III of Saxony in 1741 and inspector of the Dresden Gallery, which was being created at that time. In his paintings of a varied subject (mostly portraits), he received with eclecticism and skill the manners of almost all the pictorial schools of the century.
