These exceptional and rare George III Newcastle sterling silver chambersticks (chamber candlesticks) have a plain circular form. The upper portion of the plain bell shaped capital is embellished with a band of thread decoration. The wax pan of each chamberstick is plain and unembellished. Each chamber candlestick retains the original detachable hallmarked sconce and the original detachable hallmarked snuffer. The snuffers have a conical form and are surmounted by simple ball style finials. The rims of the wax pans, snuffers and sconces are encompassed with further applied thread decorated borders.
