Bentwood Armchair by Parker Knoll
By Parker Knoll
Located in Tarleton, GB
Parker Knoll armchair. Love the shape of these fabulous chairs and the texture of the fabric.  Parker Knoll is a British furniture manufacturing company, formed in 1931 by British furniture manufacturer Frederick Parker and Willi Knoll, a German inventor of a new form of sprung furniture. With roots in the manufacture of high-quality furniture, the brand concentrated on mass-market products from the 1930s to the 1990s. This is a very early example of the beautiful Parker Knoll armchair with model number PK713 dating the chair circa 1940s. The chair has a beech and oak frame with a sprung seat pad. The wood is finished with a dark original varnish with an aged patina. The chair frame has been restored, polished and a generous coating of wax applied.  The chair has fantastic shaped, solid beech bentwood armrests which make the look and proportions of this chair very special. Finally, we have chosen a unique combination of fabrics and textures. The main body of the chair is covered in an artisan...
