Prozzorrr

Ukrainian
Vladyslav Prozorenko and Diana Tarhonii are couple of contemporary artists known as PROZZORRR. Vladyslav hails from Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, while Diana was born in the small town of Kostopil in Western Ukraine. Together, they graduated from the Kyiv University of Culture and Arts in 2018 with a specialization in environmental design. Each of them began their creative journey from early childhood. During his teenage years, Vladyslav preferred watercolours, portraits, and sketches, while at that same time, Diana immersed herself in capturing the Ukrainian landscapes with gouache and acrylics. After meeting at university, Vladyslav and Diana decided to merge their creative practices. Over the course of 6 years, they made many successful and less successful attempts to implement their varied creative ideas. They always strive to create something modern and stylish, but most importantly: unique. This prompted Vladyslav to come up with a new technique to create captivating compositions in wood. After completing the first piece in March 2021 it was clear that this was exactly what they had been searching for. Over the past years, the artists have been perfecting the art of creating compositions out of different wooden particles and letters. They try to expand the possibilities of their technique and experiment with materials. Currently, Vladyslav and Diana operate from their home studio in Kyiv, Ukraine, where they continue to bring their artistic visions to life.

Untitled
By Richard Pousette-Dart
Located in Miami, FL
Acrylic on masonite. This is a pivotal work in deep and radiant cobalt blue from 1950. It dipicts calligraphic and hieroglyph structures over a grid and pyramidal base by the first generation abstract expressionist. Provenance: Skinner: November 13, 1992 [Lot 00219}, The entry in the Skinner catalog indicates that the painting came directly from the artist to the family of the consignor to Skinner. Kaminsky Auctions. There is an unbroken paper trail that traces the ownership of the painting from the current owner, through two auction houses to the artist. Perfect unbroken provenance. Pousette-Dart was among the most inventive of the Abstract Expressionist generation, His uncanny talent was to expand the nature of abstraction and still make each mark each element very much his own; a reflection of what he called   "the concealed power of the spirit," he said, “not of the brute physical form."   His was not aiming for a singular, realized aesthetic formula but to expand the possibilities of painting; the transcendental in painting. Typical of such invention and exploration is this  painting  Untitled 1950 when the artist was only 34 years old and represented by one of the champions of the new American painting, Betty Parsons.
A banner year for Pousette-Dart, the Museum of Modern Art acquired their first painting by the Minnesota born artist.  He worked on easel size works such as this painting an oil on masonite. At the same time Pousette-Dart was also working on larger scale works such as Path of the Hero, running over ten feet in length now in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.  Both contain fields of color articulated by a highly sophisticated white hieroglyphic vocabulary. Rather than demonstrate an expressionist sensibility, Pousette-Dart harnesses his more cerebral ideas transforming thick areas of paint into a more refined composition of geometric forms akin to the pattern and forms of say a stained glass window. In a way he is looking back at Fugue, 1940 a black and white composition which makes use of a similar format of painting albeit smaller. Color and form are minimal, but what Pousette-Dart has maximized is the rhythmic and syncopated character of painting casting his ideas into purely symbolic terms that one might link to the pictograms of Adolph Gottlieb. Nonetheless, nature is always at the core of Pousette-Dart’s thinking and dreaming. Here he has transformed the local Ramapo Mountains—where he will eventually move with his family to live and work— into a complex series of articulated fragments linked by style, scale and color.  The painting’s imagery built on two large triangles and reduced to just two colors, cobalt blue and white all outlined in black.  Pousette-Dart symbols stacked in horizontal and vertical rows:  blue is ground, white is language, symbolic of light, consciousness and awareness . The painting maintains a mystical character images compounded that formulate a secret code and linked to the series of white paintings Pousette-Dart authored in the first half of the 1950s. Get up close to the picture and you discover images within images a kind of picture puzzle...

IInes Hildur German Artist Painter "Noir et Rouge" Mixed-Media on Wood
By Hildur Ines
Located in Paris, FR
"Art is transformation" Art is the purpose of art as love is the purpose of love.« Heinrich Heine Ines Hildur starts her paintings intuitively, without any preconceived programme. From the subconscious things occur, which she cannot predetermine. The artist does not convert these inner pictures to specific things. With a special feeling for rhythm and through subtile color sounds she tells about free, associative picture stories. The works exude tranquillity, clarity and sensuality. The visible aesthetic sensitivity has a suggestive power, which captivates the observer. If you get involved in these pictures – in the colored moods, the symbolic, fragile lines, symbols – they appear to be the beginning of a story, which the observer can continue in his imagination. At the trans-lation into the terms of language, however, something mysterious remains, which cannot be translated. The painter apparently leaves the processes for the creation of the painting: color layers overlay each other, lines are covered and released again, used papers are stuck onto the work. The artist describes her way of painting like this: » violations at places of change are connected, sewed, covered in a varnishing way, shine through like under a wax layer or can still haptically be realised. Special importance is attached to the picture passages, which appear to be particularly successful, they support their environment – are significant for fringe areas, however, can also lose their function again during the working process and have to be given up – sometimes this is quite painful like the loss of a good friend.« She discovers special beauty in apparently everyday things. This can be a crumbling wall, moss between concrete slabs, traces of transience. Due to this special talent of perception the artist converts her impressions to compact pictures, which sometimes remind me of releasing layers, preserving a certain state, which could quickly disappear: also the forms of cocoon are ambiguous, a cocoon for wrapping something up, giving protection and security – or are they projectiles reaching new shores? In an environment of over-stimulation the artist wants to train our ability of perception to see things in a new way. For several years she has been communicating the interrelation between painting and seeing at the private art school Wameling Richon in Baden near Zurich. The painter and architect Ines Hildur – this is her pseudonym – belongs to the cross-border artists, to whom one attributes a special open view due to the different fields of activity. Since 1991 she has intensively been occupying herself with painting. By encountering the Berlin film-maker and painter Jürgen Böttcher Alias Strawalde, the Vienna painter Gunter Damisch and the artist couple Nancy Spero and Leon Golub at the renowned Summer Academy of Fine Arts in Salzburg she received particularly lasting ideas and stimuli. In the meantime the artist, who presently lives in Leipzig, shows her individual and group presentations in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and France. The paintings of Ines Hildur appear to be very open, they invite to discuss about them. Perhaps it will be a dialogue between her expectations and those aspects you can find here. You can take up this trace if you want to come closer to the secret behind the obvious things, which works of art always have for us. Andrea Richter-Mahlo I Art Historian I Leipzig. Ines Hildur is born in Freiberg / Saxonia in Germany She studied architecture at the University Dresden from 1977 to 1982. Acrylic on Wood Titled: “Feel Good”
By William Finlayson Jr.
Located in West Palm Beach, FL
Born in Tallahasee Fl, William started his artistic career as a color consultant for his family's Design and Painting company that took on constant projects of custom painted interiors and decorating. This work of 20 yrs lead him to his fascination with textiles and paint, along with custom furniture. After creating and selling dozens of unique pieces of furniture, here began his transition from wall, to wood on furniture, to canvas. Painting on canvas was the culmination of his creative outlet. William feels that his lack of formal training in Fine Art has afforded him a freedom to paint what he envisions and feels, rather than conform to specific style or genre that he feels is limiting Inspired by hard edge abstraction and color field art such as Kenneth Noland, Joseph Albers, Gene Davis, Frank Stella, Anne Truitt, Imi knobel.William is showing his work locally and nationally and being collected in Palm Beach Island, Washington and New York.
