By Skovby Møbelfabrik A/S 1

The Dining Table No. 74 by Skovby Furniture Factory is a splendid example of Danish design that showcases both aesthetic appeal and innovative functionality. Skovby is a well-regarded Danish furniture manufacturer known for its high-quality craftsmanship and innovative designs. The Dining Table No. 74 embodies these qualities with its classic ellipse shape and cleverly concealed extension leaves. The inclusion of hidden extension leaves is a hallmark of practical Danish furniture design. This feature allows the table to comfortably accommodate different numbers of guests, making it versatile for various occasions. The choice of rosewood is notable for its rich color and exquisite grain pattern. Rosewood was a favored material in Danish mid-century design due to its natural beauty and durability. Mazza and Gramigna Steel and Glass Italian Coffee Table for Cinova, 1970s
By Sergio Mazza, Giuliana Gramigna
Located in Roma, IT
Amazing midcentury low steel coffee table with cylindrical legs and a thin chrome apron with recessed glass. This wonderful piece was designed by Sergio Mazza and Giuliana Gramigna for Cinova in Italy during the 1970s. This amazing piece is a masterpiece of the modern space-age style, and with its straight lines and cold materials, will smarten a living room or dining room. Publications: Giuliana Gramigna, Directory 1950-1980. Images and contributions for a history of Italian furniture, Arnoldo Mondadori, Milan 1985, p. 295 Italian designer Sergio Mazza is known for his plastic design and lighting design, as well as his contribution to the Italian lighting design sector made through Artemide, the world-renowned lighting company he co-founded in 1960. Mazza was born in 1931 in Milan and studied architecture in Lausanne. After graduating in 1954, Mazza opened his own studio. In 1960, he co-founded Artemide with engineer and designer Ernesto Gismondi (born in San Remo, 1931). Their goal was to produce timeless and technically-innovative products. Mazza designed the company’s first successful product, the Alfa Lamp (1959), which incorporated natural and manmade elements of glass, marble, and metal. Mazza continued to contribute to Artemide’s ever-evolving collections over the following decades, including fiberglass molded seating and other home furnishings for Artemide throughout the 1960s, which were produced for a short period time, and are highly-sought after by collectors today. He also spearheaded the company’s mission to develop distinctive, architecturally-driven lamps, pendants, and other fixtures in collaboration with major design talents from around the world. Notable designs include the Delta Lamp (1963), Mida Armchair (1966), Bacco Bar...
