Like a patchwork carpet this stunning piece is a combination of traditional craftmenship and modern design. Knitted Missoni wool stripe pieces have been put together to squares and handstitched on a fabric to create this large unique art piece which reminds in some way to paintings of Gerhard Richter. The colorful carpet is 284 x 245 cm / 111.81 x 96.46 inches tall and wide and stays after years in very good original vintage condition.
