Filmer & Sons, London circa 1840, the gilt tooled Morocco leather top over three working and three dummy drawers with ripple moldings, the base carved with the head of Aeolus on dolphin carved feet. Thomas Henry Filmer, whose label is applied on the top of the base section, established a cabinet making and upholstery firm in Berners Street, near Oxford Street, London, in 1835 and the firm remained in business until at least the late 1860s.
