Deco Cape of Faded Roses

About the Item

1930s cape decorated with hundreds of floral fabric blooms. Originally this capelet was a vibrant red color. Over the years the unstable dyes in the rayon have faded the flowers to an amazing goth shade of deep aubergine similar to dried rose petals. Blooms are completely hand applied. Self tie at neck. 1930's USA. Excellent condition.
