France
French gentleman's frock coat in miniature velvet from the Louis XV / Louis XVI transition period around 1775. Clever velvet as Miniature in cut silk velvet brocade. Stripes with herringbone effect of red green and cream color. Frock coat with a small raised collar, complete with its original sewn buttons covered with velvet, and its buttonholes. Cuffs and two real flap pockets. Original silk satin lining. Except for some very rare fraying at the neck of the silk lining, this frock coat is in a exceptional freshness condition for its time. Very good condition of color and conservation.
