A French Egyptomania Dress In Embroidered Black Crepe silk- Circa 1930
About the Item

Ample dress in black ottoman silk crepe embroidered with polychrome zig-zag in Egyptomania style from the 1930s. Sleeveless straight dress sewn at an angle with mechanical embroidery used by French haute couture from the 1920s, in particular by Jeanne Lanvin. This type of machine embroidery was called Broderie Cornély and was done by russian women in Paris. The top is lined with cream tulle. No damage and no label but possible Haute Couture. Very good condition of colors and conservation.
Measurement: French size 38 equivalent. Height 130 cm, shoulders 40 cm, hips 94 cm.
