About the Item
Very rare jet black silk satin and velvet haute couture dress with unique spiral design and elaborate beading designed by Pierre Balmain dating to the 1960's. Dress has a red bow at neckline which indicates that it was made for a recipient of the Legion of Honor award by the French Government. Dress best fits a size 6 or small 8. Approximate measurements: bust 38", hips 38", arm length 24-25" and overall length 40". Back zip entry with hook/eye closure at neck. Fully lined. Made in France. Very good condition.
