Vintage Vicky Tiel 1980s couture cocktail dress in silk with a ruched bodice and ruffle details. The dress is crafted in 100% silk and was made in France by Vicky Tiel Couture. It’s a cocktail dress that’s above knee length and features beautiful voluminous ruffles on the bust and hip area. The colour is bright fuchsia pink, it was a little hard to capture on camera because of the shine of the silk, but the close up shots show the colour best. BRAND DESCRIPTION After graduating from Parson’s School of Design in 1964, Vicky and her best friend Mia moved to Paris and went on to design for couturier Louis Féraud. Their first designs included the mini skirt. They were the first to design these and created an international recognition for themselves. Mia and Vicky worked together for some time on their own label, until in 1971 Mia left the business and the brand was called Vicky Tiel. Throughout the late 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s the focus has been couture evening wear and bridal. Vicky Tiel is known for ultra-sexy, form-fitting dresses made in couture fashion with luxury fabrics.
